Discover the National Parks

Scotland's National Parks are a great place to be a bit adventurous with a range of outdoor activities on offer to suit all. Why not try a new activity against the stunning backdrop of some of Scotland's finest scenery.

Loch Lomond National Park encompasses wild glens, sparkling lochs and pretty towns; here you can bag a Munro, cast your line, get on your bike or simply get out your picnic. See the beauty of the National Park at your own pace when you hire a canoe, kayak, pedal boat or bike or try a guided canoe trip, cycle or walking tour and explore off the beaten track. However you decide to make your way the National Park Gateway Centre on the southern shore in Balloch is a great base from which to explore.

Further north in Cairngorms National Park you'll find moorlands, forests, rivers, lochs and an awe-inspiring arctic mountain landscape. You can enjoy walking, cycling, salmon fishing, pony trekking and golf, to name but a few of the activities available. The beautiful Loch Insh and Loch Morlich are havens for water sports including canoeing, sailing and rowing while Rothiemurchus Estate and Glenmore Forest Park are great places to explore on foot.

No matter your age or ability there is something to see and do in the National Parks and for those times when you are feeling a little less adventurous there is still lots to discover from castles and distilleries to an abundance of wildlife.
