The three-day Highlands & Skye Tour leaves from Edinburgh and transports you, by way of the famous Glencoe, to the tranquillity of the peaceful fishing village of Stromeferry on the banks of Loch Carron, near Applecross. The area is featured in Monty Halls’ Great Escape, screened recently on BBC2.

Enjoy a wild food walk accompanied by your expert local guide and discover the abundance of edible food as you gather supplies for dinner. You’ll take in the magnificence of the Cuillin Mountains and take in one of the frequent traditional music sessions held in the main town of Portree. For the last day, relax on a seal spotting cruise and enjoy the coastal landscapes as you savour a delicious seafood banquet. A bit later, you’ll take in two of Scotland’s most ensuring attractions - beautiful Eilean Donan Castle and mysterious Loch Ness.

Extending your stay in the Highlands gives you the chance to be dropped off at a beach by boat to walk though the magnificent Cuillins finishing with some locally brewed ale.

Or choose a trip to the Inner Hebridean island of Islay, equally famous for its eight whisky distilleries and abundance of wildlife, including many species not spotted elsewhere in Scotland … all with the backdrop of clear blue waters and dramatic land and seascapes.
